How can one achieve stability in commitment and faith to be a good role model for students and youth, and steadfastness in the face of worldly temptations?

Among the most important means of steadfastness, uprightness, and persistence in acts of obedience are: supplicating to Allah Almighty and seeking refuge in Him, striving to acquire Islamic knowledge and attending its gatherings, befriending the righteous and virtuous, listening to admonitions, and reading books on encouragement and deterrence, and the terrors of the Day of Resurrection and the barzakh (interspace); so that you may become aware of the dangers of sins and what Allah has promised the disobedient. For knowledge of the states of the graves and the Hereafter suppresses desires and whims, in accordance with the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, and you would not enjoy women on beds, and you would go out to the high grounds, supplicating to Allah."
