Is it permissible for a worshiper – who adheres to the Maliki school of thought – to continue praying with a single ablution despite the emission of drops of urine after relieving oneself, or drops of prostatic fluid (madhy) after defecating, without purifying or renewing the ablution, in order to alleviate hardship and act upon facilitation, especially since he finds great difficulty in what is mentioned on some other websites due to the need to change and purify clothes and wait a long time before prayer?

We do not compel anyone to follow what we issue in our fatwas. A layperson follows whoever he trusts. If you are of the Maliki madhhab, there is no harm for you in following Imam Malik. The Malikis excuse impurity for one who is constantly afflicted by ritual impurity (hadath), even if it occurs only once a day. However, this impurity (hadath) nullifies ablution unless it reaches the extent of سلس (incontinence).

There is no disagreement between the Malikis and the majority (jumhur) regarding the obligation to wait for the cessation of the discharge if it accompanies you for less than half the time, and then you perform ablution. If you perform ablution before it ceases, your ablution is invalid. The Malikis facilitate matters concerning impurity and excuse what afflicts one of it due to hardship.

The prayers in which urine or prostatic fluid (madhy) exited from you after your ablution were not valid, neither according to the Malikis nor others. You are required to repeat them as a precaution.

The madhhab of the majority is not strict in this regard. Whoever knows that urine continues to exit after urinating should protect himself by tying a cloth over the area to prevent the spread of impurity. He should not perform ablution for prayer until the discharge ceases. Then, he removes what he used for protection, repeats istinja' (cleaning after relieving oneself), performs ablution, and washes away the impurity. There is no harm in delaying prayer beyond its initial time due to an excuse, and there is no sin if one misses the congregational prayer due to an excuse.

We emphasize the necessity of turning away from whispers (waswas), so do not pay attention to them.
