Is worshipping God out of love, respect, and awe of Him, and not out of covetousness for Paradise or fear of Hellfire, a correct stance?

Allah the Almighty is the most deserving of worship and love due to the perfection of His essence and the greatness of His attributes. The love of Allah is based on two foundations: a general love due to His benevolence and blessings upon His servants, and a special love for what He is worthy of in terms of majesty, greatness, and perfection. There is no contradiction between worshipping Allah out of reverence and love, and seeking Paradise and fearing Hellfire. Paradise is the abode of Allah's pleasure, closeness to Him, and the vision of His Face, which is its supreme bliss. Hellfire is the abode of His wrath and displeasure, and being far from Him is its most severe torment.
