Is reading the Qur’an accepted despite missing Fajr prayer and committing some sins, and is it permissible to read [the Qur’an] after committing a sin?

Committing sins does not justify abandoning acts of obedience; rather, it exacerbates the situation, because good deeds and bad deeds will be weighed on the Day of Judgment, and the determining factor is the predominant one. Being free from sins is not a condition for the acceptance of good deeds. Rather, Allah Almighty commanded that good deeds follow bad deeds to efface them, as He says: "Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds." Sins, their consequences are removed by repentance, seeking forgiveness, and expiating righteous deeds that Allah accepts from those who fear Him in them, even if one is disobedient in other matters. Therefore, one must be keen on performing acts of obedience and not cease them due to sins, and work on purifying the soul and avoiding forbidden acts.
