Is a woman who commits adultery openly and prays better than a chaste woman who does not pray?

Adultery is one of the major sins and heinous immoralities, and Allah has threatened those who commit it with severe torment. However, abandoning prayer is a greater offense in the sight of Allah, and many scholars have ruled that one who abandons it apostatizes and exits the fold of Islam. Nevertheless, this does not justify committing adultery. The believer considers the greatness of the One he disobeys and the severity of His punishment. Adultery is one of the sins that can lead its perpetrator to Hellfire and incur the wrath of the Almighty, even if he prays, because true prayer forbids immorality and evil. Therefore, a Muslim must repent from abandoning prayer and from adultery to save himself from Allah's wrath and punishment.
