Can the jinn borrow clothes and return them, especially with the repeated appearance of yellow stains on them for no apparent reason?
The phenomenon you mentioned might have reasonable sensory causes that can be investigated by consulting experts.
We recommend the remembrance of Allah, for it is a fortress against devils. Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When night falls – or when you enter the evening – restrain your children, for the devils spread out at that time. Then, when an hour of the night has passed, let them go. And close the doors, mentioning the Name of Allah, for Satan does not open a closed door." In another narration: "Cover the vessels, tie up the waterskins, and extinguish the lamps, for Satan does not untie a waterskin, nor open a door, nor uncover a vessel."
Ibn Hajar preferred the view that devils are prevented from opening doors only if the Name of Allah is mentioned when closing them. He cited as evidence a hadith from Muslim: "When a man enters his house and remembers Allah upon entering and upon eating, Satan says: 'There is no place for you to spend the night, nor any dinner.' But if he enters and does not remember Allah upon entering, Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night and dinner.'" This means that mentioning the Name of Allah prevents Satan from doing these things.
