What is the ruling on working as a doctor for cooperative insurance companies such as Medgulf?

It is permissible to work in cooperative Takaful insurance companies, provided that the conditions for it being Takaful insurance, not commercial, are met. As for "MedGulf" company, Dr. Yusuf Al-Shubaili has issued a fatwa that the insurance it practices is commercial insurance, and that all licensed insurance companies in the Kingdom are obligated to operate according to the executive regulations, which contradict the system and make insurance commercial, and this is what the decision of the Council of Senior Scholars prohibits.
