Why was the Qur’an not fully compiled during the lifetime of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him? And what was the reason for Uthman’s burning of the Qur’anic codices if the difference was in the recitation, not in the verses? And how can we be sure that the compiled Qur’an is complete and comprehensive of all the verses revealed to the Prophet? And what is the meaning of abrogated verses? And is a Muslim sinful for reading what is written about Islam on Christian and Jewish websites? And what is the authenticity of the existence of verses not included in Zayd ibn Thabit’s copy?

It is not permissible to browse websites that arouse doubts, except for those who have fortified themselves with Islamic knowledge and are secure from being led astray by them. A Muslim should occupy his time by memorizing and contemplating the Quran, and by studying books of Sunnah. Allah Almighty has guaranteed the preservation of the Holy Quran from addition, deletion, and alteration, in fulfillment of His saying: ﴿Indeed, it is We who sent down the message, and indeed, We will be its guardian.﴾ [Al-Hijr: 9]. The Quran has been transmitted through continuous, successive transmission (Tawatur) since the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, until now. Any verses found with Khuzaymah were merely written down by him, not memorized, for they were preserved in the hearts of the Companions. Zayd ibn Thabit was chosen to compile the Holy Quran because he was in Medina, was among those who wrote down the revelation, and was present at the final recitation of the Quran.
