Will Jesus, peace be upon him, receive revelation after his descent, or does the denial of revelation after the death of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, refer only to legislative revelation? And will his informing people of their ranks in Paradise be considered revelation? And will it be permissible for him to give glad tidings of Paradise to people and inform them of some unseen matters after his descent?

Jesus, peace be upon him, will rule after his descent according to the Law of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, not according to his own law. Scholars have explicitly stated this, and it has been narrated in authentic hadiths, and there is a consensus on it. He will receive true revelation after his descent through Gabriel, peace be upon him, concerning whatever Allah wills regarding the unseen and other matters, not by inspirational revelation. This does not contradict his continued status as a prophet, for his being a prophet does not mean that he will bring a new law that abrogates the law of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
