Does the cessation of revelation with the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mean that no revelation descends upon jinn and humans, that no new news or acts of worship come, and that no rulings are abrogated?

The revelation ceased with the death of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. As narrated by Muslim from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, visited Umm Ayman, and she wept because the revelation had ceased, so they wept with her. And as Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said in Sahih al-Bukhari: "Indeed, some people used to be judged by revelation during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and verily the revelation has ceased. We now judge you by what has become apparent to us from your actions."
