The answer

Allah the Almighty has encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, and He chose the prophets and messengers, favoring some over others in degrees and merits. He singled out Abraham and Muhammad with His intimate friendship (khullah), and each prophet with miracles suited to their time. Not every individual merit necessitates superiority. For instance, Jesus being raised alive to heaven occurred according to Allah’s will and wisdom, and this does not mean he is superior to all other prophets; rather, they were given what necessitates their preference over him. The ultimate decision in this matter belongs to Allah, and it is incumbent upon the believer to submit to Allah's affairs and strive in the affairs of people.
