Is a man's weeping and grief over being blessed with four daughters, along with his attempt to use birth control, considered a sin against God?

Everything happens by Allah Almighty's decree, and there is profound wisdom in it. Your being blessed with daughters might be a great good for you, and many hadiths have been narrated regarding the virtue of daughters. It is not permissible to be displeased with the blessing of daughters, as this is from the manners of the people of Jahiliyyah (the pre-Islamic era of ignorance). Birth control is not permissible except out of a genuine necessity, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged increasing offspring.
