Why do Fatwa No. 40939 and Fatwa No. 62420 contradict each other, especially concerning the issue of the purity of dry urine on a carpet after a year, and the transfer of impurity to a wet foot upon contact? Is it permissible to adopt the view of the Malikis, Hanafis, and Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, that impurity is removed by dryness, sun, and wind?

There are two issues: The first pertains to the ruling on a bed becoming impure and the impermissibility of praying on it. A bed does not become pure through drying or exposure to the sun and wind, according to the majority of scholars. As for the second issue, it concerns the transfer of impurity to wet objects that come into contact with the bed. This is a matter of scholarly disagreement, and it is permissible to follow those who hold the view that impurity does not transfer in this situation.
