Is the rank of al-Waseelah exclusive to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him? And what is the wisdom behind supplicating for him with it? And when was he given the glad tidings of it? And what is the ruling on one who believed that al-Waseelah might be for Ibrahim before he knew it was exclusive to Muhammad? And will the station of all other prophets, companions, martyrs, and righteous people be in the highest Firdaws?

Al-Wasilah is the highest rank in Paradise, and it is exclusively for Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. We supplicate for the Prophet, peace be upon him, with it because Allah decreed it for him due to various reasons, including the supplication of his community. We are commanded to make this supplication, and it benefits us through intercession. There is no definitive textual evidence confirming the Prophet's, peace be upon him, glad tidings concerning it, but scholars have unanimously agreed that it is his. The Prophet’s saying, "I hope that I am he," indicates his humility, despite his knowledge that he is the most deserving of it. There is no blame on someone who claimed it belonged to one of the (previous) messengers before knowing its exclusivity to the Prophet, peace be upon him. However, one should avoid speaking without knowledge.
