Is it true that the Jews asked the Prophet about the Soul, Dhul-Qarnayn, and the People of the Cave?

The Jews' questioning of the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the soul is authentically established in the Sahihain (Bukhari and Muslim), and the verse ﴿And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And you have not been given of knowledge except a little."﴾ was revealed concerning it. Scholars have differed on how to reconcile the narration of its revelation in Mecca (with the Jews advising Quraish) and the narration of its revelation in Medina (with the Jews directly asking). Some have favored multiple revelations, while others have preferred the Medinan narration due to its strong chain of transmission.

As for the Jews' questioning of the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the three matters together (the People of the Cave, the soul, and Dhul-Qarnayn), despite its widespread mention in books of Tafsir and biographies, the Hadith reported concerning it is weak and not authentically established through its chain of transmission.
