Is walking with one's back to the Kaaba and face towards the pilgrim after the Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada') upon exiting the Mosque considered part of the Sunnah?

Walking backward when exiting the Grand Mosque after the farewell circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada') is a reprehensible innovation (bid'ah munkarah) and not part of the Sunnah. This is because the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions did not do so, and it contradicts his guidance (peace be upon him), for he said: "Whoever performs an action that is not in accordance with our matter (religion), it will be rejected," and "Beware of newly invented matters, for every newly invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is a misguidance."
