Is it permissible to refrain from marriage until completing one's studies and finding a husband who meets specific conditions, such as owning a private residence independent of his family, and not being a relative, for fear of the problems associated with marrying relatives and family interference?

Among the objectives of marriage are the stability and continuity of married life. Therefore, the selection should be made based on religion and character, and there is no harm in seeking other desirable factors such as marrying a non-relative, not marrying from among relatives, and providing independent housing. There is no objection to delaying marriage until a suitable spouse becomes available. However, if a suitable relative who possesses religion and character is found, and a non-relative is not available, then seek Allah's guidance through istikharah, for delaying marriage might lead to spinsterhood and suitors turning away.
