What is the ruling on a woman wearing a hijab that resembles a Hindu turban, called a "turban," even if it covers the hair and ears, but a part of the head or ear is visible from it? Does it meet the conditions of the Sharia-compliant hijab? And is the hijab merely a head covering?

The Islamic hijab is not limited to merely covering the head; rather, it is the modest garment that is not an adornment in itself and covers the entire body except for the face and hands (there is a difference of opinion regarding these). It is also stipulated that it should not resemble the clothing of men or the clothing of disbelievers. If these conditions are not met in the attire, then it is not a legitimate Islamic hijab.
