What is the ruling on money earned from singing and holding concerts, and is it obligatory to dispose of it all at once, or is it permissible to dispose of it in installments while taking into account helping the needy and continuing with the sacrifice?
I praise Allah for guiding you to repentance, and we ask Him to make you steadfast. Regarding the money in your possession, you are only required to dispose of the money you earned from your work in that group. As for the rest of your money, including the money you collected on your wedding day, it is permissible (halal) because it is a permissible gift of reward. The beneficiaries of the money you earned from your work in music are the poor and the needy. If you do not know the exact amount of this money, then give away what you predominantly believe to be unlawful. A singer who repents from singing is not obliged to give away the value of what they consumed from that money. However, if any of that money remains in their possession and they are poor, they may take from it what suffices their need. If they are rich, they are obliged to give it as charity to the poor and the needy.
