Is divorcing your wife—who is not religiously committed, and from whom you are psychologically and physically repulsed, and who is pregnant, in addition to the difficulty of balancing your work and your wives' homes—considered an injustice to her, and will her supplication against you be answered?

If you divorce your wife due to her bad character and weak religious commitment, there is no sin upon you, nor are you being unjust to her, and her supplication against you will not be answered. Nevertheless, it is advisable to strive to reform your wife and help her become upright and repentant, especially concerning the diligent observance of prayer. If she repents and becomes upright, then keep her, even if you dislike her, for Allah Almighty says: {And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good.} [Quran 4:19], and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No believing man should hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." However, if she persists in abandoning prayer, it is not appropriate to keep her, as mentioned by Ibn Qudamah.
