How can I earn people's respect and be a good role model for them, and what are the characteristics of a single Muslim young man and how can they be achieved?

To earn people's respect and be a good role model, one must adhere steadfastly to the religion of Allah, abandon coveting what others possess, and strive solely for the pleasure of Allah. For whoever seeks Allah's pleasure, Allah will suffice him against the need of people; and whoever seeks people's pleasure, Allah will entrust him to them.

The most important qualities required of a Muslim youth are faith and monotheism, observing the obligatory duties and avoiding prohibitions, and embodying noble character traits such as truthfulness, forbearance, modesty, humility, courage, generosity, and high aspiration, alongside diligence in earning a livelihood and utilizing time effectively.

To achieve this, one is aided by seeking Allah's help, acquiring knowledge, patience, and striving against the self. One should also avoid the company and gatherings of heedlessness and disobedience, and be keen on the companionship of the righteous and gatherings of knowledge, connecting the heart to mosques, and filling free time with beneficial activities and useful exercise.
