Is it true that disclosing a bad dream leads to its realization?

We have not come across any indication that merely disclosing a dream leads to its fulfillment. Rather, the Hadith states that a dream comes to pass if it is interpreted, according to the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "A dream is like a bird's leg as long as it has not been interpreted; when it is interpreted, it comes to pass."

This Hadith does not address those who are not skilled in interpreting dreams. A true dream only comes to pass if it is interpreted by someone knowledgeable and accurate in their interpretation.

Imam Al-Bukhari pointed out that this is specific to cases where the interpreter is correct in their interpretation, and there is no validity to an initial interpretation if it was wrong.
