Is it forbidden to pray not to get married, and what is the way to expel this fear from the heart and avoid disobeying Allah with such a prayer and thought?

The default ruling for marriage is that it is recommended (mandub), based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿And We have certainly sent messengers before you and made for them wives and offspring.﴾ [Ar-Ra’d: 38], and based on the Hadith: "But I fast and break my fast, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. So whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me."

Marriage may become obligatory for whoever fears falling into sin due to overwhelming desire, because it protects and preserves the soul.

Marriage safeguards one's chastity, lowers one's gaze, and brings peace to the soul. Among its fruits is righteous offspring who serve as a treasure for their parents during their lives and after their death.

The problems and disputes of marriage are not a justification for abandoning it, because this world is not free from annoyances. The duty is to seek Allah's help and have good expectations of Him in facing life's difficulties.

Watching lewd films is forbidden, and it is obligatory to forbid them, or to inform those who can stop them, provided that informing does not lead to a greater harm.
