However, what is given to establish a right or invalidate a falsehood is not considered a bribe on the part of the giver, though it is considered a bribe on the part of the receiver. The salary of one who repents from paying a forbidden bribe to obtain a job is permissible if he performs his work as required, and he is not obliged to leave the job.
