How are the times for prayer, Imsak, and Iftar determined in places where the day or night lasts for six months?

Muslims residing in lands where the sun does not set in summer or does not rise in winter, or where the day or night is very long (such as six months), must perform the five daily prayers within every twenty-four-hour period.

This is done by estimating the prayer and fasting times, based on the nearest country to them where prayer times are clearly distinguishable and where the total duration of night and day is 24 hours.

This is supported by the Hadith of the Dajjal (Antichrist), where the Prophet, peace be upon him, commanded estimating the prayer times on the day that would be like a year, which confirms the obligation of five prayers within every twenty-four-hour period. This estimation also applies to fasting.
