What is the ruling on children wearing mustaches and beards? Is it considered a form of وصل (attaching hair/extensions)?

Placing something on the head or body without attaching it to the hair does not fall under the prohibited hair extensions, because what is forbidden is connecting hair to hair due to the deception involved and the use of hair that is disputed regarding its impurity.
