It is permissible for a person to engage in Ruqyah Shariah (Islamic exorcism). Ibn Jibreen issued a fatwa allowing specialization in it, and Ibn Baz permitted taking a fee for it. Furthermore, reciting over oil or water takes the same ruling as reciting over the patient himself.
