How can one master the rules of Tajweed when reciting by heart in order to complete the memorization of the Holy Quran?

The correct pronunciation and tajwid (elocution) of the Quran are achieved through training the tongue, extensive practice, and exercise, not merely by understanding the rules. Indeed, Al-Hafiz Ibn Al-Jazari says: "And there is nothing between it and its abandonment... except the discipline of a person with his jaw," emphasizing that attaining mastery is through training the tongues and repeating the pronunciation received from the mouth of a proficient reciter. Similarly, Al-Hafiz Abu Amr Al-Dani says: "There is nothing between tajwid and its abandonment except discipline for one who ponders it with his jaw." When the tongue becomes accustomed to correct pronunciation through training, listening, and application, adherence to its rules becomes automatic. This matter requires patience and perseverance, and the trainee must first pronounce the letters with their correct formation, as this is the universally agreed-upon essential requirement for memorizing the Quran.
