Why do the delights of Paradise appear to be more for males, and why are women not granted their desires in Paradise? And why is a woman not granted to be more beautiful than the Houris for her husband? And why is a woman punished for things she did not do in Paradise?
Scholars differ concerning the houris: Are they women of this world recreated, or are they a different creation? And are the houris or the human women more beautiful? Some believe that the houris are more beautiful due to their descriptions, while others believe that human women are superior due to their deeds in this world. Still, others believe that the phrase {إِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنْشَاءً} (Indeed, We have produced them in a [new] creation) means that the women of this world will be created anew in Paradise. The correct view is that everyone who enters Paradise will be of the utmost beauty and will attain whatever they desire. This matter is part of the unseen, and the primary concern is entering Paradise.
