How can one treat the evil eye (Ayn) and envy (Hasad), and is it possible to ask the person suspected of afflicting the evil eye (who is a relative) for water from their ablution (wudu') in cases of suspected affliction, without causing a rift between the two families?

We advise you to protect yourself from the evil eye by diligently observing the prescribed remembrances (adhkar), and by being cautious of entertaining ill thoughts about others without evidence. For suspicion is a sin if it involves accusation without apparent cause, especially concerning those known for their discretion and righteousness. And the sanctity of a believer is greater than the sanctity of the Kaaba.

If you are certain of the evil eye, it is prescribed for the person who cast the evil eye to perform a ritual bath (ghusl) or ablution (wudu) for the affected person. If this is not feasible due to fear of problems, then continue with the ruqya (Islamic exorcism/healing) until recovery.
