Is it permissible to seek assistance from Muslims to pay off interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing debts in easy installments without interest, given the dire need and difficult financial situation?

It is advisable to rely on Allah Almighty and supplicate to Him, as stated in the Hadith Qudsi: "Our Lord, Blessed and Exalted is He, descends every night to the lowest heaven when only the last third of the night remains, and He says: 'Who is supplicating to Me that I may answer him? Who is asking Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?'" It is also encouraged to complain to Allah alone, following the example of prophets like Ya'qub and Ayyub (peace be upon them).

One should seek help from Allah and increase in seeking forgiveness, as Allah Almighty says, relating Nuh's words: "And I said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [copious] showers And give you increase in wealth and children and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.'" It is recommended to recite supplications for settling debts, such as: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, and I seek refuge in You from inability and laziness, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek refuge in You from the burden of debt and the oppression of men," and "O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful against Your forbidden, and enrich me with Your grace beyond anyone else."

One may seek assistance from people of virtue and charitable organizations. It is important to note the danger of usury (riba) and that it is one of the major sins, and one must repent from it.
