Is it permissible for a king to wear gold, and what is the evidence for that? Thank you.

Wearing gold is forbidden for all males of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him), as Khalil stated in his abridged work: "It is forbidden for a male to use decorated items." It has been reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) concerning gold and silk: "Indeed, these two are forbidden for the males of my Ummah, permissible for their females." Scholars have unanimously agreed on the prohibition of men wearing gold ornaments, and there is no distinction in this regard between a king and others.
