Is it permissible, from a Sharia perspective, for a project supervisor who directs project owners to specific companies and offices to overcome violations, to take a percentage of the profits earned by these companies, knowing that the prices offered are equal to or lower than market prices, and that the project owner is not obligated to deal with them? If this is not permissible, what is the ruling on the amounts he previously received under the pretext of brokerage, and what is the ruling on what resulted from contracts not related to actual supervision of the project?

Guiding project owners is not part of your primary work in the committee, and it may lead to corruption, such as referring unsuitable individuals out of greed for commission or overlooking violations by project owners. Therefore, it is not permissible to cooperate with private offices and companies in this regard, as a preventative measure (sadd al-dhari'ah), which involves prohibiting what is permissible if it may lead to what is unlawful. Imam Malik and Ahmad adopted this principle.
