Is there a relationship between the application of justice and the achievement of sustainable development?

Justice is the foundation of any true and lasting development, for injustice destroys people and ruins nations. As Allah the Almighty says: "And those cities - We destroyed them when they wronged, and We appointed a fixed time for their destruction." And He the Almighty says: "So those are their houses - desolate because of what they wronged. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who know." And as it was said: "Indeed, Allah sustains the just state, even if it is disbelieving, and does not sustain the oppressive state, even if it is believing."
