Is it possible for God to bless a righteous husband despite his disobedience, and could that be a punishment?

Lethargy is a natural phenomenon from which no one is safe. The cure for lethargy is to hold fast to Allah and humble oneself before Him, to seek out good company, to avoid the company of the heedless, to frequently remember death, to ponder Allah's signs, and to strengthen one's connection with Him through abundant remembrance (dhikr) and supplication (du'a). As for being blessed with a righteous spouse despite committing a sin, yes, this is possible, especially if you are not persistent in that sin, coupled with hastening to sincere repentance and having good expectations of Allah. We advise accepting the suitor if he is a man of religion and good character, while promptly repenting, addressing your lethargy, and being wary of despair and procrastination.
