Is it true that the meanings of a single word in the Qur’an are limitless because it is an attribute of Allah, and just as Allah has no end, so too His attribute has no end? And how can this statement be reconciled with the clear and explicit verses whose meanings are evident?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified to his companions the wording of the Quran and its meanings, without which the conclusive argument would not be established. What scholars mean by saying that "all benefits of the Quran cannot be fully exhausted" is that there is no hope of fully encompassing all the endless signs, guidance, and wonders that Allah has deposited within it. They do not mean that its fundamental meanings, through which the conclusive argument is established for people, are unclear.
