Is what a young man experiences in repeated failures in his projects, unlike his friends, a tribulation or a punishment from God? And what should he do?

Everything is by divine decree and destiny, so you must act upon the means and be content with what Allah has decreed. Allah tests His servants to examine their faith, and what has befallen you may be a consequence of your sins. Whether it is a trial or a punishment, there is good in it for those who are patient and content. Do not succumb to the illusions of magic; fortify yourself with the Qur’an, adhkar (remembrances), and fervent supplication, and do not despair of Allah’s mercy.
