Is it permissible for a sales manager at a company that produces birth control pills to work there, knowing that he distributes them to Muslim and non-Muslim doctors? If it is not permissible, must he leave the job, or can he continue in it until he finds another job, taking into consideration his family's financial circumstances?

The use of birth control pills is permissible if it is for a legitimate reason to delay pregnancy, and forbidden if used for illicit acts. The rule is that whatever is predominantly expected to be used for something forbidden, its sale and purchase are not allowed, because it constitutes cooperation in sin. The ruling varies depending on places, times, and circumstances. So, if the predominant use of these pills is for unlawful purposes, their sale is forbidden. If their predominant use is for lawful purposes, there is no harm in selling them. And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.
