Is the mixing of males and females permissible for the people of Paradise, or will it be within limits, such as lowering the gaze?

One should not preoccupy oneself with unseen matters except for what has been revealed through divine revelation. The inhabitants of Paradise are not burdened with obligations or restrictions; trials have been removed from them, and contentment has enveloped them. They are given whatever they desire from various forms of bliss, and their desires do not pertain to what upright souls would reject, as they are purified from corrupt morals.

Regarding the description of the women of Paradise, Allah Almighty says: "And with them will be women limiting [their] gazes, with large, beautiful eyes" (Surah As-Saffat: 48), and His saying: "In them are women limiting [their] gazes, untouched before them by man or jinn" (Surah Ar-Rahman: 56). "Women limiting their gazes" means that they lower their gazes from anyone other than their husbands, and they see nothing in Paradise better than them. This also implies that they limit their husbands' gazes to themselves.

Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned that "ḥūr [maidens] confined in pavilions" means that they are kept in pavilions, or confined to their husbands, not seeing anyone else. He also pointed out that "women limiting their gazes" means that their hearts are confined to their husbands due to their contentment with them.

It is stated in Sahih Muslim that for the believer in Paradise, "there is a tent of a single hollow pearl, sixty miles long, in which the believer will have wives, and the believer will visit them, and they will not see each other," due to the spaciousness of the tent or for wisdom in veiling that.
