Is it permissible for me to return to Tunisia to seek Islamic knowledge, knowing that my family has paid exorbitant costs for my studies in Germany, which I do not desire, and that my mother fears for my future, and my family exerts pressure on me due to my religious commitment?

The questioner is advised to remain steadfast in righteousness and obedience to Allah, for this is the path to salvation. He is thanked for his dutifulness to his mother, which is considered one of the noblest acts of obedience. He should combine his dutifulness to her with the completion of his studies, while safeguarding himself from temptation by marrying a righteous woman who will assist him in his religious and worldly affairs. For whoever seeks chastity, Allah will aid him. If marriage is not feasible and he fears temptation, then migration to a country where he can be safe and complete his studies becomes obligatory. He is advised to supplicate frequently and to strive for moderation in his religious practice to please his mother and reassure her.
