What is the ruling on the prayer, ablution, and istinja' for one who suffers from urinary incontinence or madhy in the following cases: 1. Friday prayer, with the varying time of its commencement, and is it better to perform istinja' and ablution before the time begins or after it, with the Imam ascending the minbar? 2. Maghrib prayer in Ramadan, when it is performed quickly? 3. Istinja' and ablution before the time begins in case of urgency? 4. Ablution only, without istinja', when a restroom is unavailable or there is hardship?

The criterion for incontinence is the continuous discharge throughout the time, such that the worshiper does not find sufficient time to pray with proper purification, or that the discharge is erratic and its timing is not fixed. If the condition does not meet this criterion, then the afflicted person is not incontinent, and he must renew his ablution and purify the impurity for each prayer. He should pray what he catches and make up for what he misses. The obligations of purification are not waived due to haste or crowding. However, if he is afflicted with incontinence, the fatwa in our view is to renew ablution for each prayer after its time has begun. It is permissible to adopt the view of the Malikis, which offers leniency to alleviate hardship.
