Is it permissible for a wife to belittle her husband jokingly in front of people?

Islamic law permits jesting for the purpose of recreation, provided it adheres to certain guidelines, including truthfulness and refraining from belittling or mocking others. Any jesting that leads to diminishing or ridiculing Muslims is forbidden, based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent — then it is those who are the wrongdoers." The prohibition intensifies if the belittlement is directed at the husband, whom Allah has granted additional rights.
