The answer

Not every evil that befalls a person should be attributed to envy, as its causes might be disobedience to Allah. The cure for envy is repentance, striving in obedience to Allah, showing gratitude for His blessings so they may increase, utilizing beneficial Ruqyah, especially the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and frequently supplicating and seeking refuge in Allah from the evil of the envious. Leaving the place of envy does not solve the problem, as the envious may envy other blessings.
