Is Hossam Moawad a man of special abilities or a sorcerer, and how do we explain to people the difference between the two and respond to his use of the remembrance of Allah in his actions?
This man is a charlatan and a sorcerer. No human being can transform water into another liquid or perform supernatural feats unless they are satanic. The miracles of the saints are a mercy and a support for the truth, and their performer is steadfast in adhering to the Sharia. Al-Shafi'i and Al-Layth ibn Sa'd said: "If you see a man flying in the air and walking on water, do not be deceived by him until you examine his affair in light of the Book and the Sunnah." Claims of special abilities deceive the weak-minded. Muslims should not be fooled by such things and must beware of them, and adhere to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him.
