Is death by accidents or assassinations determined by a person's presence at the scene, or is it decreed by Allah regardless of location?

Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon His Messenger and his companions. The place of a person's death is among the unseen matters known only to Allah, as He says in the Qur'an: "No soul knows in which land it will die." [Qur'an 31:34] and "Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you are in fortified towers." [Qur'an 4:78]. He also states: "Say, 'Even if you had remained in your homes, those for whom death was decreed would have gone forth to their places of death.'" [Qur'an 3:154].

If a person is destined to die in a specific place, they will inevitably be there at the time of their death, and no precaution, escape, or protection will prevent it. When Allah wills to take a servant’s soul in a particular land, He creates a reason for them to go there. The appointed time of death is fixed—when it arrives, it neither delays nor advances, and no soul dies before its time.
