Is giving up a job that allows one to perform acts of worship freely (such as night prayers and fasting Ramadan) and moving to a job as a pilot that requires combining and shortening prayers and affects worship considered love of this world and lack of asceticism?

The more a servant engages in acts of worship and supererogatory deeds, the better it is for him and the more favored he is by Allah, as Allah the Almighty said in the Qudsi Hadith: "My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory deeds until I love him." Seeking lawful provision is permissible and encouraged, as Allah the Almighty said: "It is He who made the earth subservient to you, so walk among its regions and eat from His provision. And to Him is the resurrection." Abandoning a job that allows for performing acts of worship for another worldly job might be an indication of loving this world more than the Hereafter.
