What is the ruling on marrying a Muslim woman who has un-Islamic transgressions, such as going to wedding halls (where there is mixing) and not adhering to Islamic dress, knowing that the husband strives for complete adherence to religious matters?

It is recommended to choose a wife who is religious and of good character, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be be upon him, said: "Succeed with the religious woman, may your hands be soiled." This is because she is a comfort, trustworthy with his money and honor, and the keeper of his secrets. Marriage to a woman who has religious transgressions (such as going to wedding salons or not adhering to the Islamic dress code) is permissible. However, if it is highly probable that she will not change, then it is better to avoid marrying her. If he does marry her, he must oblige her to wear the legal hijab and prevent her from forbidden acts, because he has authority over her and is responsible for those under his care.
