Is it permissible for me to leave home and seek a new life away from a life of humiliation with my family due to problems stemming from academic failure?

Assuming the parents, or one of them, are family, it is advised to treat them kindly and stay with them, and to confront the causes of problems, such as academic failure, with diligence and success, or to prove success in other fields, because parents desire the best for their children. However, if the parents, or one of them, are not family, there is no harm in leaving the home, while considering the balance between benefits and harms, strengthening bonds of affection, and not severing ties of kinship without a legitimate reason.
