هل ذُكر أي شيء عن مقدار علم إبليس؟

There is no prophetic text that specifies the name of Iblis before his disobedience, and all that has been transmitted in this regard are sayings of some of the Salaf, which are likely taken from the books of the People of the Book. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted speaking about the Children of Israel without affirming or denying it, because their books may contain truth and falsehood. It is advised not to preoccupy oneself with these matters that do not entail a practical legal ruling.
