Traveling for leisure and relaxation is permissible, and it is allowable to take the concessions granted for travel, such as shortening and combining prayers. Scholars have differed on the ruling of shortening and combining prayers during leisure travel into two opinions: the first permits taking the concession, and the second does not permit it. The preferred opinion is the permissibility of shortening and combining prayers during leisure travel, unless one intends to stay for four days or more in a city, in which case it is not permissible according to the majority, although there is another opinion that permits it.
